As a third-generation family business, Darwalla started producing chickens over 90+ years in Mt Cotton, with farms now located in the Redlands, on the Darling Downs and in the Lockyer Valley. Safety is a priority of ours and we look after our people. About the Role ... Join our friendly and supportive 6-person Feed Mill team, responsible for producing poultry feed across our operations. This is a hands-on role involving: - Batching and operating plant equipment
- Scheduling deliveries
- Troubleshooting breakdowns
- Assisting with repairs and maintenance
Based at our Mt Cotton site, you’ll report directly to the Feed Mill Manager. Working Hours - Casual, 30 hours a week
- Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work
- Rotating morning and afternoon shifts
- Afternoon shift starts at midday
- Overtime required as part of operations (paid at double time)
This is a 24/7 industry, so flexibility is essential. About you ... To be successful, you will have: - Current forklift licence
- Confined space entry licence
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Hands-on, practical approach
- Commitment to health, safety and environmental standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Problem-solving ability
- Flexible attitude
- Driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Physical capability for manual tasks
