We are seeking a passionate, experienced and qualified electrician to manage the maintenance of our world-class chicken hatchery. Commissioned in February 2018, our hatchery comprises specialty hatchery equipment and robotic automation. In this permanent full-time role, you will be responsible for the preventative and unscheduled maintenance of the entire facility. The successful candidate must be a licensed electrician with PLC experience. Previous experience with water pumps, reverse osmosis water systems, air conditioning systems, boilers, chillers, generators, automation/robotics will be highly valued. You will need to be hands-on and hardworking with attention to detail. You must be willing to learn specialist hatchery equipment. You will work closely with the Hatchery Manager and Incubations, as well as managing a Maintenance team , so your communication and people skills will be excellent. Ideally, you will have experience with a maintenance software such as MEX, but at a minimum you will require good computer skills. A forklift licence would be advantageous. Our chickens are a precious commodity, so you will need to meet strict bio-security requirements (details attached), where all employees are restricted from keeping any birds, poultry or pigs at their premises. You will be required to shower-in and shower-out of our facility and uniforms are provided. The hours are generally Monday to Saturday, 4-5 days per week, 38 hours per week, however flexibility is required to meet the needs of the hatchery.
